The Tecate Score San Felipe 250 is an off road race that is part of a series that includes the Tecate Score Baja 500 & Tecate Score Baja 1000.
Various classes of 2 and 4 wheel vehicles race over a course that has been similar for years. 2014 is the 28 annual running of the San Felipe race.
Early morning the day of the race, motorcycles and quads start about 6 am. About 10am the trucks and cars begin racing.
The 2014 winner had a time of 3 hours 31 minutes over a rain-shortened course. The winner, for the second year, was a Ford Raptor 850 horse power unlimited production truck. The fastest motorcycle, a Kawasaki, finished in 3 hours 53 minutes.
The day prior to the race there is a meeting of all the race vehicles on the San Felipe Malecon. This contingency meeting shows the vehicles to the public and the technical team within Score to determine that each class has the appropriate equipment.
